The mandate of the Social Services Administration is to meet people's needs for security. The outpatient care works to ensure that children and young people get secure and stable upbringing conditions, and that adults receive the support they need. We work to provide individually adapted support that starts from the individual's needs and aims to contribute to an improved life situation. We also focus on preventive measures with close cooperation between the individual, family, and their network. Internal and external cooperation are natural parts of daily work, as well as participation in active development work.

Job Responsibilities

As a treatment specialist, you will be part of a team of 13 specialists, including social workers, social pedagogues, sociologists, treatment pedagogues, and alcohol and drug therapists.

As a family treatment specialist, you will carry out supportive, change-oriented, and treatment work with children and young people (0-18 years) and their parents based on assignments from investigating social secretaries. The goal is to increase protective factors and reduce risk factors. We use evidence-based methods and proven experience. The content of the treatment work is individually adapted based on the child's/young person's/family's needs and is shaped together with the children, young people, and their parents based on the assignment.

A main part of the job responsibilities will consist of intensive family treatment where you, in a team with child treatment specialists and coordinators, work with practical support in the home environment. The work also includes support for children and adults exposed to violence in close relationships. The work also includes network work and cooperation with the family's private and professional networks.

The work is performed both independently and together with other treatment specialists and will be carried out outside office hours if necessary. Your schedule is daytime, evening, and weekend, 38.25 hours/week. Rotation within the entire operation may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social worker, social pedagogue, or have equivalent education assessed by the employer as equivalent. It is meritorious if you have good knowledge of and experience in supportive and treatment work, experience from work with mental illness, norm-breaking behavior, school problems, and neuropsychiatric disabilities, work with violence in close relationships, and with integration. That you are trained in relevant treatment and mapping models.

We see that you have good ability to express yourself and communicate in speech and writing.

In your role, you are required to have good cooperation skills as well as the ability to work independently and structured. The work also requires flexibility and the ability to handle unforeseen situations. As a person, you are calm, stable, and trustworthy with the ability to create and maintain good relationships. Carefulness in case management and good treatment with the starting point of strengthening the individual's own ability are also important qualities.
