A warm welcome to the housing support in Farsta and Business Area 8!

The business area is led by a unit manager with dedicated and responsible employees who are now looking for a new colleague for the housing support group. The housing support in Farsta is based in Gubbängen, and the target group is adults aged 18 and over with mental and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities who have a decision on support according to the Social Services Act.

The business area consists of three units:

• Housing Support (Boendestöd)
• Emma Meeting Place
• Studio.IT/IKIGAJ

Your role

The support for clients is individually tailored and consists of both practical and social activities. Together with the clients, you will perform, train, and motivate in everything that is part of daily routines and housing. Your tasks may include supporting and motivating clients with household management, daily administration, shopping, and other matters, as well as being a support in contact with authorities, representatives, and/or the Region.

Your skills and experience

For this position, you need:

• Nursing education with a focus on psychiatry or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience working with the target group as a housing support worker or in an equivalent role.
• Good computer skills.

In working with the target group, it is important that you are sensitive and empathetic. You have an understanding of different mental disabilities, their manifestations, and symptoms, but above all, how you should treat people with these conditions. We need you to have good teamwork skills as you will have much contact with both clients and colleagues. You also need to be self-reliant as the role involves independent work. Being structured, flexible, and pedagogical is just as important as being stable and enduring. Since the operations are in a development phase, there are great opportunities for those interested in development work to influence the content of the operations.
