Your Mission:

The Elderly Care Unit is tasked with ensuring that residents of Nacka aged 65 and older receive the support they need to live in secure conditions. Through flexibility and shared responsibility, we meet our customers in an elderly care service facing an exciting future where we need to find the best solutions together based on demographic challenges, lessons from the pandemic, and the possibilities of welfare technology. We work towards clear goals with the seniors of Nacka in focus. At our workplace, employees are our most important resource.

The Elderly Care Unit's assistance handling team consists of two teams with approximately 16 employees in each team. In one of the teams, there is also a housing coordination unit responsible for placements in special housing, day activities, and short-term housing, among other things.

The duties of the assistance handler include:

• Receiving applications, investigating, and making decisions on interventions for residents of Nacka over 65 years old, as well as following up on decisions, according to the Social Services Act. We work with Individual Needs in Focus (IBIC).
• Having extensive delegation to make decisions on most interventions.
• Providing relevant information and guidance, as well as informing/guiding in the choice of provider according to Nacka's customer choice.
• Collaborating internally within the municipality and externally with, for example, healthcare and other authorities.

We place great importance on your personality and are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team as well as independently, and likes to share their knowledge. To thrive in the role, you should have a talent for building relationships as you will have many contact surfaces, both internally and externally. We wish that you, as an applicant, are curious and creative and like development. The role requires that you have a structured way of working and good prioritization skills. You work legally secure and have very good communication skills both verbally and in writing.

We are looking for you who have:

• Social Work degree (Social Worker)

• Experience working in a politically governed organization.
• Experience in assistance handling for the elderly.
• Experience with the IBIC working method.
• Experience working in the business system Pulsen Combine.
• Category B driver's license.
