About us

The workplace-based activity unit is a unit within daily activities (LSS) within the provider's own management, the department for functional support. About a dozen employees work at the unit with daily activities according to the setup Workplace-based activity, in cooperation with the offices in the town hall, the municipality's SÄBO (housing for the elderly), café, street and park work, Lego and sorting assignments. The unit includes support for participants who want their daily activity as practice placed on the regular labor market, as well as support for those who want to enter the labor market.

About the position

As a support teacher, you support colleagues, develop the business, and ensure that customers receive the support and care they need. You supervise colleagues, contribute to developing and implementing routines and guidelines, and work to strengthen the individual customer's independence and quality of life.

Your role entails overall responsibility for ensuring that documentation and implementation plans are written and updated, as well as mapping, risk analyses, and action plans regarding the individual. You participate in regular network meetings with other support teachers, method developers, and unit managers. You collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other key persons to ensure the individual good care, support, and service.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have completed a support teacher education (200 YH credits), or higher education studies equivalent to 60 credits, which can be parts of education (e.g., social work program) or individual courses, but all 60 credits must have a direct connection to the functional support business area.

Examples of courses may include: Disability Science (30 credits) or Disability Science with a focus on Autism Spectrum I and II (30 + 30 credits).

The education should have provided basic knowledge in the following areas:

• Intellectual disability and autism
• Salutogenic approach
• Applicable working methods with the target group and within LSS operations, for example low-affective handling
• Cognitive and communicative support
• Social documentation and implementation plans
• Mapping and risk analysis as well as action or handling plans

It is meritorious if you have competence in the documentation system Pulsen Combine. It is also meritorious if you have competence in the method Supported Employment and/or IPS.

As a person, you are structured and stable. You are also relationship-building and collaborative.
