Student Employee for the SuperCycle Paths Project in Skåne
Region Skåne has regional development responsibilities. At the Transport and Infrastructure Unit, we work with transport planning, fuels, and digital infrastructure to enable development and better health for more people. In Skåne, you should be able to live, work, and study throughout the region and travel sustainably. Here, the business community should have good conditions to transport goods and products efficiently.
One of our main tasks is the planning and implementation of the regional transport infrastructure plan in collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) and the municipalities in Skåne, but we work with all aspects of transport and infrastructure. We have 15 employees located in both Malmö and Kristianstad at offices close to public transport.
As a student employee at Region Skåne, we offer you a workplace in constant development where you get the opportunity to practice your academic knowledge in development and improvement work, but also contribute to operational work.

Job Responsibilities
SuperCycle Paths in Skåne is a project aimed at improving and raising awareness of Skåne's most important cycling commuter routes to encourage more people to choose the bicycle for both short and slightly longer trips. The goal is to increase cycling commuting to and from work and studies, as well as create better conditions for daily exercise, which in the long run contributes to the well-being of the people of Skåne.
The work is carried out step-by-step based on a developed concept that specifies what a supercycle path is through quality aspects and functional requirements. In close collaboration with Skåne municipalities and the Swedish Transport Administration, improvement measures are planned and implemented on the designated supercycle paths. Early in the project, a comprehensive deficiency inventory was conducted on the designated supercycle paths to understand the extent of measures that might be required for the routes to reach a sufficiently good standard. The inventory is a few years old and needs updating to be a useful tool.
As a student employee in the SuperCycle Paths in Skåne project, your main task is to update and develop the deficiency inventories. You will cycle the designated routes and study deficiencies in the cycle paths based on the concept. The deficiencies are then categorized and registered in a digital mapping tool. You also work on developing solution proposals for specifically identified deficiencies. In addition, you are part of the working group and participate in ongoing work when support is needed. This may include participating in project or municipal meetings, preparing materials, planning recurring meetings, and assisting in the development of tools and support for municipalities working with supercycle paths.
This is a student employee position, which means you will work a maximum of 15 hours per week by agreement for a maximum of one year.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must have studied at least 60 higher education credits in a field relevant to the position, such as traffic planning, infrastructure, and urban planning. You must have at least one year remaining in your studies and good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. In addition to your electronic application, we ask you to attach a Ladok transcript confirming that you have studied at least 60 higher education credits from an ongoing education in a relevant field for the position.
Competence in traffic planning, particularly improvement measures in existing environments, is considered meritorious. It is a prerequisite that you have an interest in the development of cycling infrastructure. Since the work mainly involves inspecting designated cycle routes, it requires that you can move efficiently along the routes, for example, by being able to cycle or use another comparable mode of transport.
Experience and interest in working with GIS are meritorious. You should be independent, meticulous, and methodical in your work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We warmly welcome your application!
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
