About the assignment: We are now looking for a personal assistant for a cheerful, playful, and energetic boy who will soon turn 13. Here you will find a job where no day is like the other, and where your ability to combine pedagogical structure with playfulness is crucial. Our boy is a true outdoorsman. When he is not "more under the surface than above" in the swimming pool, you will probably find him in the garage. He loves tinkering with engines and riding lawnmowers; the more it rumbles, the better! He has a great sense of humor, loves mischief, and possesses enormous vitality.

Your challenge and role: Behind the bubbling energy lies a complex everyday life. He lives with autism, ADHD, severe behavioral challenges, and therapy-resistant epilepsy, among other things, as well as moderate intellectual disability. This means he needs an assistant who is one step ahead, who can read subtle signals, and who maintains calm when the outside world becomes too intense. Your focus is on creating a safe and predictable environment where he can continue to develop and explore his interests in a secure manner.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have extensive experience with PBS (Positive Behavior Support): You understand the importance of working in a promoting manner and analyzing the function behind behavior.
• Are confident in LAB (Low-Affective Handling): You have the ability to regulate your own affect to help him maintain his calm.
• Are practical: You are not afraid to get a little oil on your hands when you tinker together.
• Are physically active: You enjoy being outdoors in all weather and can keep up with the pace, both in the pool and in the forest.
• Have experience with epilepsy: Experience with emergency medication is a merit.
