Job Responsibilities

For the school year 2026/2027, we are looking for a certified upper secondary school teacher in Social Studies and History. The position includes teaching in History and Social Studies, supervising upper secondary school projects (gymnasiearbeten), and a significant mentoring role, where you act as a secure and engaged mentor for your assigned students. You will be an important guide in the students' knowledge development and personal growth during their upper secondary education.

Qualifications

You are a certified upper secondary school teacher in Social Studies and History. In your classroom, your leadership is as important as your interpersonal approach. You are a secure, warm, and non-hierarchical leader who builds strong relationships and creates an environment where every student feels seen and challenged according to their own prerequisites. Collaboration is second nature to you – you are open to having visitors in your classes, drive cross-curricular projects, and see it as a privilege to contribute to the collegium's joint development and the school's culture.

Your work spirit is deeply linked to your ability to collaborate and participate in the development of yourself and the operations. With us, this means you have good cooperation with your manager and colleagues, both at your own workplace and within the rest of the municipal group. You treat everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through a customer- and service-oriented focus. You take responsibility for being involved in operational matters and are solution-oriented.

At Gislaved Municipality, full-time work is a right, and therefore vacant positions are advertised as full-time. When the operations can accommodate part-time work, this is of course an option.
