Your new job

A unique initiative for language development is underway in our preschools and primary schools in Jönköping Municipality. Working as a language pedagogue at one of the 15 primary schools that have received language pedagogue positions is part of this initiative.

As a language pedagogue, you will, based on the school's needs and student results, collaborate to develop teaching in preschool class, grade 1, and after-school centers. You will start from a centrally developed job description and, together with the principal, define your school-specific assignment. Your work includes leading and supporting collegial development processes based on research and proven experience to contribute to increasing the unit's competence in language, reading, and writing development. You will also support students in preschool class and grade 1 at the group level in their language, reading, and writing development, making interventions together with the work team. Based on a language plan developed within the municipality, you ensure that teaching in preschool class and grade 1 rests on scientific basis and proven experience.

We are now seeking a language pedagogue for Ribbaskolan.

Ribbaskolan, a preschool to grade 6 school, is located in Gränna and has approximately 250 students. We have fine, functional facilities in a beautiful and inspiring environment, between Grännaberget and Lake Vättern. The school also has an after-school center. Our school area also includes Kumlabyskolan, located on Visingsö.

Ribbaskolan is situated in an area rich in culture, leisure activities, and nature experiences, providing the best possible conditions for a pleasant school environment. Our conviction is that a good school starts with teachers who have good subject knowledge, good relationships with students, and high expectations that everyone can and wants to succeed in school. Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a focus on younger ages and have several years of experience in teaching reading and writing development in lower grades.

We see that you have experience in language-developing work and driving development work as part of systematic quality work. You have experience in improving students' academic results and a strong interest in developing teaching. You possess good analytical skills, have the courage to act to contribute to change, can structure work effectively, and can drive your work forward independently. As a person, you easily create trusting relationships.

Good to know

The language pedagogue position is a permanent employment with holiday service and flexible hours within the Education Administration in Jönköping Municipality. The nearest manager is the principal. All language pedagogues are part of a network that has continuous collegial meetings.

Before employing new colleagues for our teaching positions, we must ensure that there is a valid teacher certification. We therefore ask you to attach a current teacher certification obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
