Your new job

You are welcome to apply for the position of primary school music teacher for grades 1–6 at Södergårdsskolan in Huskvarna. You will work in teaching teams and be an important part of the school's pedagogical development.

At Södergårdsskolan, we work with language-developing approaches, where music becomes a natural part of the students' expression, creativity, and learning. Through music, students are given the opportunity to develop their creativity, communication skills, and understanding of different cultural expressions.

We collaborate to create the best possible teaching and strive for an equitable education where all students have the opportunity to develop based on their prerequisites. As a music teacher, you contribute to a varied and accessible learning environment where practical and aesthetic learning can take place.

You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on music teaching based on the curriculum and governing documents. The teaching includes singing, instrumental playing, music creation, and music listening, as well as working to ensure that traditions such as Lucia, Christmas concerts, and summer celebrations are carried out together with students and teachers.

You are keen on developing the students' musicality, creativity, and confidence in their own abilities. You build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to a pleasant working environment where learning and creation are at the center.

Södergårdsskolan in Huskvarna is a grades F–6 school with approximately 440 students. Here, we prepare our students for a future with the whole world as their workplace – where aesthetic expressions like music are an important part of learning.

The school is located on Söders höjder, surrounded by beautiful nature. Our school buildings from 1911 and 1921 have been carefully renovated and are heritage-listed (K-märkta), providing a unique and inspiring environment.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained teacher with a teaching license in music for grades 4–6, or alternatively, who are at the end of your education. You have qualifications in music and are well grounded in the primary school's mission and its governing documents. Experience in teaching is considered an advantage. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and possess basic IT skills.

We place great importance on personal suitability, especially your ability to inspire, engage, and create creative learning environments.
