Your new job

We are now looking for a teacher for grades 4–6 in Swedish combined with another subject at Södergårdsskolan in Huskvarna.

Here, you will work with language-developing methods focusing on language comprehension, vocabulary, and concepts. We have close collaboration for the best teaching, aiming to develop cooperation between teachers and departments. The goal is to give students increased opportunities for learning and equal teaching where everyone focuses on the developmental needs that have been identified. We also focus on accessible teaching and a learning environment that suits all students based on their individual needs and backgrounds. You will be part of a teacher group led by a lead teacher, where we together develop the team's teaching.

We are currently implementing IBIS (Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools) at our school. This is a preventive and structured approach aimed at creating a secure study environment, clear expectations, and a positive school climate. IBIS is based on the whole school working together with common rules, positive reinforcement, and early interventions, so that students receive the right support in time and can succeed both socially and academically.

You will be responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching based on the curriculum and other regulatory documents. This means you should be able to independently plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching, naturally in consultation with your work team.

You care about developing students' abilities, knowledge, and self-confidence. You value trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You contribute to a pleasant working environment at the school that promotes learning and development during the students' school day.

Södergårdsskolan in Huskvarna is a grades F–6 school with approximately 440 students. The school is located on Söders höjden, surrounded by beautiful nature. The school buildings were built in 1911 and 1921, carefully renovated, and are heritage-listed (K-märkta).

Your qualifications

We are looking for a teacher for grades 4–6 in Swedish combined with another subject. It is meritorious if you have qualifications in Swedish as a second language. You are a trained teacher, alternatively you are at the end of your teacher training or waiting for your certification. You have a good understanding of the primary school's mission and work confidently based on the school's regulatory documents.

If you have previous experience in teaching and working with students, we see this as a great asset. To succeed in the role, you need good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as basic IT skills. Here you will have the opportunity to work in an stimulating environment where engagement, collaboration, and student learning are at the center.
