Jakobsberg University Health Centre is part of SLSO, Stockholm County Council. We are located at Jakobsberg Hospital, within walking distance of Jakobsberg Centre and only 18 minutes by commuter train from Stockholm City.

We are a pleasant workplace with approximately 50 employees from various professions. We have around 13,400 registered patients and are one of the larger health centres in the region.

As a university health centre, we are responsible for further education of healthcare personnel in certain knowledge areas. At Jakobsberg, we are responsible for Cancer in Primary Care (CaPrim), Neurological Diseases, Pain, and Elderly Health. We participate in various research studies originating from primary care. Several of our employees have defended their doctoral theses, and some conduct part-time research alongside their clinical work.

Responsibilities:

This is a new role in primary care in Järfälla. You will collaborate with colleagues in similar roles from nearby health centres in the geographical area. The work involves meeting people in various community settings to promote and strengthen healthy lifestyle habits.

At the clinic, the work includes common tasks for a district nurse/registered nurse, such as telephone advice and patient reception.

The role requires independence, broad competence regarding lifestyle habits, and a drive to work autonomously.

Qualifications:

You are a registered district nurse or registered nurse with several years of experience from primary care. Previous experience in health promotion work regarding lifestyle habits is an advantage. You are flexible in your working methods, computer literate, and have experience with the electronic health record system TakeCare and other digital systems. You enjoy new challenges.

Employment Type:

Permanent position. Full-time 100%. 50% of the role involves health promotion tasks, and 50% is spent at our clinic or in home care. Probation period may apply. Working hours are Monday–Friday, with weekends off. Start date 1 September or as agreed.

• A background check is conducted before employment decisions according to SLSO guidelines.
• Employees with patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination via occupational health services before starting.
• In addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of Swedish (level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is required. The same requirement applies to non-licensed staff with patient contact.
