Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (The Support and Service Act for Certain Functionally Disabled). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary depending on the client's needs. You value the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making daily life run smoothly.

About the position

We are now looking for a personal assistant for a girl who will soon turn 11 and lives with her family just outside Karlstad. Your workplace will be in the girl's home, so it is important that you respect the girl's and her family's personal integrity and privacy. We are looking for someone who sees themselves in the long term in the role of personal assistant and wants to build a good collaboration with the girl and her family.

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to create good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive in this role, we believe you are a playful, happy person with patience and calmness. As a person, you enjoy working with children and young people, have ideas, and collaboration comes naturally to you. We are looking for someone who is understanding and empathetic; you understand others and find it easy to put yourself in their shoes. We also believe that you are confident in yourself, create stability, and thrive in quiet environments.

We are now looking for you who meet the following criteria:

• Want to work for a girl who will soon turn 11, living just outside Karlstad

• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

• Have a B driver's license and access to your own car

• Are non-smoking

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have experience with NPD diagnoses (Neurodevelopmental Disorders)

• Have experience with Tobii and Snap Core

• Have experience with epilepsy

• Have experience with tube feeding

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary:

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment percentage of approximately 35%. Working hours are scheduled during daytime and evening hours, on weekdays and weekends.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

Start date 2026-04-30 or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a certificate of good conduct from all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record and suspicion register prior to any potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
