Job Description

Do you want to help shape the future of social services in Säffle? Säffle Municipality is embarking on an exciting development journey within the social services sector.

At our Child and Youth Unit, we meet children and families when they need us most. We strive for every interaction to be characterized by good treatment, clarity, and participation. The child's perspective permeates all our work, and we place great emphasis on working in a legally secure and trust-building manner, both towards those we meet and within our organization.

We have a well-developed open care system for children and youth, which gives us good opportunities to offer interventions that are flexible, close to home, and adapted to the needs of families. Open care is an important part of our joint work and creates valuable support in both acute and preventive contexts.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is curious, wants to develop the work together with us, and thrives on taking responsibility. You have good structure, are clear in your communication, and want to be part of a context where we support each other and work together.

As a Social Secretary at the Child and Youth Unit, you will handle all cases concerning children, young people, and their families, primarily according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act with Special Provisions on Care of Young People (LVU).

Säffle is a municipality where we strive to do things together. We have short paths between decision and action, and good cooperation with other agencies such as the police, schools, and healthcare, for example through our School Social Team (SST) and "Backa Barnet," which is a working model that puts the child's best interests first regardless of agency or decision.

You will have regular supervision with the Senior Social Secretary as well as external supervision. As a new employee, you will receive an introduction and be assigned a mentor.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or other academic education according to the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare. We would like you to have experience in handling cases directed towards children and young people.

You have a B driving license and share our view that quality, safety, and participation are the foundation of good social work.
