ABOUT THE JOB

We are currently looking for female personal assistants for an 8-year-old girl living just outside Karlstad. She has extensive care needs and receives support from assistants around the clock.

The girl loves anything that sparkles, and makeup and hairstyling are close to her heart. She also enjoys going on short outings and finding fun activities outside the home. The girl's verbal communication is very limited, which means it is important that you get to know her well to be able to interpret and understand her needs and expressions. She uses a power wheelchair (Permobil) for mobility.

As an assistant, you are a support in all aspects of her daily life, from nursing and medical tasks to play, activities, and creating a safe, stimulating environment. Experience with tracheostomy and PEG tubes is advantageous but not required. The most important thing is that you get along well and that you can meet her with warmth and security.

The workplace is located outside Karlstad with limited public transport connections, which means that a driver's license and access to a car are required.

You are

• Female and at least 22 years old
• Non-smoker
• Have a driver's license and access to a car
• Secure, responsible, and have a mature approach
• Have a genuine interest in working with children with extensive care needs
• Comfortable working days, evenings, and awake nights

Other qualities we look for

• Creative and playful
• Receptive and empathetic in your interactions
• Good teamwork skills and enjoy working in a team (double assistance)
• Proactive and enjoy planning small activities or outings
• Experience in similar work is advantageous

Working hours and degree of employment

The work shifts are scheduled as follows:

• Weekdays: 07:00–15:00, 15:00–22:00, 22:00–07:00 (awake night)
• Weekends: 07:00–19:00, 19:00–07:00 (awake night)

We are looking for several assistants with different degrees of employment, ranging from extra help as needed to a fixed schedule of approx. 50-80%.

Salary

At Vivida, you as an assistant receive a fixed base hourly salary + holiday pay and possible shift allowance. Collective agreement applies.
