For the upcoming summer, we are looking for engaged and responsible summer substitutes for our short-term residence, Björnen.

The short-term service offers children and young people with disabilities a safe and stimulating environment where they have the opportunity for community, activities, and change of scenery based on their individual needs and interests. At the same time, the service is an important support and relief for their families.

Job Responsibilities

As a summer substitute, you work closely with children and young people and support them in their daily lives during their stay at the short-term residence. You contribute to creating structure, safety, and a meaningful leisure time through activities, social interaction, and individually adapted support.

The tasks include among other things:

• Supporting children and young people in everyday situations and care.
• Planning and carrying out activities based on the individual's needs and interests.
• Contributing to a safe, pleasant, and developmental environment.
• Documenting according to the organization's routines.
• Collaborating with colleagues and contacting guardians when necessary.

The work is carried out both independently and together with other employees.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Have an interest in working with children and young people with disabilities.
• Are secure, responsible, and have a respectful attitude.
• Have good cooperation skills, can create structure, and adapt your support based on the individual's needs.
• Can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

It is meritorious if you have education, ongoing studies, or experience within care, social services, pedagogy, or functional support. We would also like you to have experience working with children and young people and/or people with disabilities. Knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders), communication support, and low-affective handling, as well as experience with LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) activities or care work, is also meritorious.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. The work requires patience, flexibility, and the ability to handle situations that can be both physically and emotionally challenging.

Conditions
