The City Management Office's task is to assist the Municipal Executive Board in the leadership and steering of overarching and strategic issues.

What Does the Job Involve?

As a Civil Preparedness Coordinator, you have a central role in building, developing, and coordinating Solna Municipality's work within civil preparedness. You work to ensure that the city can maintain vital societal functions during crises, heightened alert, and war.

The role includes, among other things:

• Acting as a qualified support to management and operations.
• Creating, developing, and implementing plans, routines, processes, and governing documents.
• Establishing and developing the city's crisis management work.
• Working with business continuity management.
• Contributing to the coordination and development of civil preparedness work.
• Strengthening the city's work with supply preparedness.
• Planning, coordinating, and conducting training and exercises.

You work closely with corresponding functions in the municipality's departments to ensure a cohesive effort. The role is both strategic and operational, and you work under the direction of the Security Manager.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for you who thrive in a role where you both take initiative and collaborate broadly. To succeed in the role, you need to be good at building relationships and seeing the big picture in complex issues. You are structured, communicative, and have the ability to work both strategically and operationally.

You have:

• Relevant university or college education,
• Several years of experience working within civil preparedness,
• Good knowledge of issues related to civil preparedness,
• Good understanding of relevant legal requirements and regulations,
• Experience in developing and creating plans, routines, processes, and governing documents,
• Experience with business continuity management,
• Experience in planning and leading training, workshops, and exercises.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from public administration, preferably municipal,
• Experience with crisis management,
• Knowledge of supply preparedness,
• Experience with technical supply systems such as backup power and water/wastewater supply,
• Experience with preparedness planning,
• Experience with collaboration between different operations and/or departments.

More Information About the Application

The position is security-classified. Therefore, security clearance and register checks will be conducted before employment. Approved security clearance, as well as Swedish citizenship, are requirements for employment.
