Do you want to work with advanced technology that makes a real difference – and develop alongside knowledgeable and supportive colleagues? Saab Advanced Programs is now looking for several system engineers with a hardware focus on control systems and air data.

Your role

In this role, you work with advanced systems where hardware and function interact. You become part of a team that is collectively responsible for the whole, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.

The work involves understanding how different parts of a system function together, with a focus on hardware such as electronic systems, actuators (for example, electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic solutions), and air data sensors. Depending on your background and interests, you may deepen your knowledge in certain areas – you do not need to know everything from the start.

You will work on understanding the needs and requirements for various systems and, together with the team, translate these into clear documentation in dialogue with suppliers. The role includes contributing to finding new suppliers, participating in and evaluating technical solutions, and helping to choose the path forward.

You also follow the hardware through the entire chain – from requirements to finished solution – and contribute to ensuring it meets relevant requirements and standards. At the same time, you build relationships and networks with suppliers, often in close collaboration with more experienced colleagues.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are curious and want to understand how technology works in a larger context. You have a university degree in, for example, electronics, mechatronics, technical physics, mechanical engineering, or similar, or are about to graduate. The role suits both you with experience and you who are new to the career. We seek people with different backgrounds, perspectives, and technical interests – among us, we complement each other.

You do not need to have experience in everything – and you do not need to have deep knowledge in all areas. Perhaps you are particularly interested in electronics, sensors, or control systems, or you are more passionate about mechanics, actuators, or how physical systems work. Regardless of direction, there is room to grow with us.

The most important thing is that you want to learn and contribute, and that you are curious about developing within systems work.

For those who already have work experience, it is meritorious if you have experience in electronics, hydraulics, sensor processing, or hardware development.

The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to the security clearance regulations in effect at any time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
