Description

Perstorp's primary schools consist of three physical units with a student population of approximately 850 students from Preschool Class to Grade 9.

Responsibilities

The Student Health Service's mission is to support students' development towards educational goals through health-promoting and preventive measures. The School Doctor handles routine tasks within the framework of the School Health Act (HSL) and the medical component of the Student Health Service. The role includes:

  • Evaluating, examining, and referring to other healthcare providers as needed based on the results of health examinations. This may involve cases concerning psychiatric issues, growth, orthopedics (primarily scoliosis), and other school-related health problems.
  • Prescribing vaccinations as part of individual vaccination programs.
  • Conducting medical assessments prior to admission to adapted school forms.
  • Collaborating with the student's guardians, school staff, other healthcare providers, and external authorities.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed School Doctor with adequate education and experience working within the medical component of the Student Health Service.

We are looking for you who are a licensed School Doctor or a licensed physician with specialist competence in general practice or child and adolescent medicine. You have previous experience working with children and adolescents, and it is meritorious if you have previously worked as a School Doctor.

Conditions

The employment level is approximately 10%. If you are offered the position, you will need to present a certificate of no objection from the Swedish Police Authority's register of convictions and suspicions. This register can be ordered via the police website, polisen.se.
