The Eating Disorders Centre has a region-wide mandate and offers highly specialized inpatient care, day hospital care, and outpatient care. In total, we are approximately 40 people working at the centre in the following professional categories: nurse, medical secretary, counselor, care assistant, psychologist, physician, physiotherapist, and dietitian.

Region Skåne has received additional assignments within the framework of National Highly Specialized Care (NHV), and for the first time, psychiatry in Skåne has also been granted NHV status for difficult-to-treat eating disorders. Here, there is long experience, high competence, and a strong drive to develop this specific area.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We now welcome you who are interested in working night shifts with us!

In the role of a nurse here, you will treat patients with various types of eating disorder issues in inpatient care. You will have a challenging and stimulating job, with opportunities for professional development. During the night, you will collaborate closely with your colleague on the ward. Your tasks include nursing duties within inpatient care such as medication management, sample collection, support conversations, and documentation in the medical record system Melior. The work also includes somatic checks such as weight checks, pulse, and electrocardiography (ECG). Additionally, you work with care tasks, preparations before and after meals, and educational meals together with the patients. The work is always based on the patient's individual needs. Our work is largely characterized by building and developing relationships with our patients. We strive for this to be a good and important support in the patient's unique change process.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are positive and proactive. You put the patient first and find it easy to collaborate with others, but can also work independently. In our daily life, rapid changes often occur; handling these and adapting to a new situation requires abilities such as overview, planning, and structure. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Regarding the formal requirements for the position, we are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. A specialist education in psychiatry is meritorious. We also see it as an advantage if you have experience working in psychiatry and with patients with eating disorder issues.

Within the administration, there is also vision, hearing, and deaf services and youth clinics in Skåne.
