Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a registered nurse who wants to contribute to people's health and well-being through their commitment and professional care. Are you someone who is passionate about providing high-quality care and who values good collaboration with colleagues? Then you might be the person we are looking for.

As a nurse at Wesslandia, you play a central role in ensuring the well-being of our residents. You are responsible for the care of a specific number of residents, where your tasks include performing health and medical interventions and leading the care work. You work preventively to promote the residents' health and well-being, and you are responsible for medical assessments, documentation, and planning.

Wesslandia is Tierp Municipality's largest special housing facility, and the municipality's respite care places are also located here. Currently, there is a team of 4 nurses at Wesslandia distributed among approximately 90 residents.

You have close collaboration within the team with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, doctors, relatives, care staff, administrators, and the unit manager. In daily operations, you supervise and delegate tasks to care staff, and you have a responsibility to contribute to the development and quality of the operations.

Working hours are scheduled and mainly involve daytime shifts at your unit, but evening and weekend shifts are also included as you share responsibility for a larger area with colleagues. The shifts are distributed among the nurses in the cooperation area together, which gives the opportunity to influence your schedule. Currently, you will work approximately 1-2 weekends on an 8-week schedule and about 4 evening shifts.

Qualifications

Requirements include being a registered nurse and having a category B driver's license. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

You have the ability to work with other people; to listen, show empathy, and respect. You have the ability to follow instructions, procedures, and statutory requirements.

It can be considered an advantage if you are a district nurse or have other relevant further education. Similarly, if you have experience with the target group in the area.
