Celsiusskolan is a municipal upper secondary school with approximately 1,050 students. We provide education on the national programs for social sciences, natural sciences, economics, and sales and service. Here, students can combine elite-level sports commitments with their studies. The school's development work takes place in working groups and subject teams, and we have a well-functioning student health team that collaborates with these groups. Description of duties

As a school psychologist with us, you are part of the school's student health services according to Chapter 2, Section 25 of the Education Act. The mission of student health is primarily to work preventively and health-promoting, as well as to support students' development towards the goals of education.

The position is organized so that you have the opportunity to work at the individual, group, and organizational levels and be an active part of the school's joint development work. You are part of the school's student health team and collaborate closely with the principal, other student health staff, and school personnel.

In the role of school psychologist with us, you will among other things:

  • contribute psychological competence to the school's preventive and health-promoting work
  • actively participate in the student health team's joint analysis and planning
  • guide and support educators and working groups in matters concerning learning environment, interactions, and students' mental health
  • participate in mapping and interventions at the group and organizational levels
  • contribute to the school's systematic quality work and development of student health services
  • if necessary, work with individual cases, assessments, and consultations based on the needs of the student and the operation
  • collaborate with guardians and, if necessary, with external actors such as healthcare and social services.

The focus of the assignment lies on proactive and development-oriented work, rather than solely remedial interventions.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. It is meritorious if you have experience working as a psychologist within healthcare. Furthermore, it is also meritorious to have experience and knowledge of working with upper secondary school students in a school context.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills and work in a listening and constructive manner with others. Communication is clear and engaged in oral contexts, with the ability to adapt messages to the recipient and situation. You have a service-oriented approach that characterizes the work, where the interaction is calm, attentive, and solution-focused. Furthermore, you have a well-developed linguistic analytical ability, meaning that complex linguistic material can be understood, processed, and converted into clear and qualitative texts. Your working method is structured and responsible, with good independence and judgment. You are also development-oriented, flexible, and proactive, with an interest in improving working methods, adopting new methods, and contributing to the development of the operation.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed in a war-time position.
