Within the Department of Care and Elderly Care, full-time employment is the norm. This means that all permanent employees are fundamentally employed on a full-time basis. More information about what this entails for this specific position will be provided during any potential interview. Personal assistants are exempt from the full-time norm.

Do you enjoy driving and want to be one of those who visit our users at night? Then you could be one of the temporary night shift relief staff we are looking for!

The night patrol operates from Nyby Home Care, Svartbäcken Home Care, and Sävja Home Care, where we prepare to travel to the various home care units. After receiving reports and reading documentation, we travel to the different units to pick up keys, and then we go to our customers who have fixed night visits. The night patrol also receives security alarms from all over Uppsala Municipality at night. Our working hours are 21:35–07:15.

Description of duties
As a nursing assistant, you are to provide good care based on the individual's needs, with great respect for the person and their self-determination, and to work towards ensuring that the user can live an independent, active, and meaningful life based on their conditions and needs. The work includes performing tasks delegated by licensed personnel and documenting according to the Social Services Act.

You are expected to communicate with users, relatives, other professions within the operation, as well as other actors. It also includes working to promote health and developing the operation and yourself in close cooperation with your colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • are trained as a nursing assistant with a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
  • have experience within care and elderly care
  • have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • are accustomed to using digital aids such as computers and smartphones
  • have a B-class driver's license and are confident in driving for work.

You are welcome to have:

  • other work experience that has involved night work
  • experience documenting in different systems such as LifeCare.

As a person, you adapt easily to changed circumstances. You see opportunities in change and you work well with other people, relating to them in a listening manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive way. You plan and prioritize work effectively and set and keep timeframes.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on the war establishment (crisis staffing).

Salary type: Hourly wage.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
