Description

Psychiatry Services is one of the few organizations in the country to have both child and adolescent psychiatry and adult psychiatry under a single head of operations. This facilitates and enables rapid information transfer, promotes collaboration, and increases the possibility of short decision-making paths. We have a long tradition of cooperation with the municipalities in which we operate. Within Psychiatry Services at Kungälv Hospital, we have three Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinics. In Stenungsund, we receive children and adolescents from the municipalities of Stenungsund and Tjörn.

Within BUP, an annual working hour system is applied, which means the possibility of flexible working hours throughout the work year. We offer excellent opportunities for competence development, continuous supervision, and specialization.

The team consists of senior physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries. We also have access to speech therapy resources within the service. The operations are characterized by high competence and a high degree of collaboration, and are conducted from a cross-professional perspective.

At our workplace, doors are open, both for collegial support and for sharing laughter. We have common coffee breaks and enjoy having fun together. Stenungsund offers pleasant outdoor lunches at the pier and the opportunity to swim in the sea year-round. The clinic is located in central Stenungsund, close to the train and bus stations, with connections to and from Gothenburg and Uddevalla.

Job Responsibilities

Assessment, investigation, and treatment work with children, adolescents, and their families. The work is carried out in teams but also independently. The role also involves collaboration with other agencies surrounding children and families.

Qualifications

Registered Psychologist. We are looking for you who have previous experience working with children and adolescents, preferably with neuropsychiatric disorders and patients with self-harm behaviors. We value qualities such as humor, a forward-looking attitude, and the ability to think positively and solution-oriented. Experience in leading groups is a plus.

We place great importance on personal suitability, good collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently. It is crucial for us that you share our desire to make a real difference for the people we meet.

Conditions

The position is a maternity leave substitute for the period 2026-08-17 to 2027-08-16.

We require extracts from the criminal record register for all offered positions within Psychiatry Services.
