Who are we?

In the autumn of 2019, we started a completely new school in the Bråvalla area, moving the vocational programs from Ebersteinska Gymnasium here. Bråvallagymnasiet is an educational center for vocational training and is a creative and modern school for students interested in technology, innovation, and practical problem-solving.

The school has approximately 800 students across a wide range of vocational programs. Here, students on the introductory program get a pathway into working life or the opportunity to progress towards a vocational degree after completing additional requirements. We have close cooperation with companies that provide students with internships, jobs, and exciting career opportunities. Through joy, a great atmosphere, and skilled teachers, we shape individuals who are professionally competent, confident, and strong.

Your responsibilities

As a vocational teacher, you teach vocational courses on the introductory program with a focus on light mechanics and forklifts. The introductory program's vocational introduction offers education for students who have not become eligible for a national program at the upper secondary school.

You train students in forklift operation for licenses A, B, and C, as well as in basic subjects on the vehicle and transport program. Part of the education is linked to the repair and service of passenger cars.

The work takes place in a teaching team where you are responsible for specific courses within the vehicle and transport program related to the introductory program. You work together with your colleagues to increase engagement, efficiency, and the sharing of pedagogical ideas.

As a vocational teacher with us, you are a resource of knowledge and try to find new ways together with your colleagues to promote student learning. Mentoring is included in the position.

Who are you?

We are looking for you with a high school diploma in vehicle and transport and with good knowledge of forklift operation and as a car mechanic. You are a trained forklift driver and have several years of professional experience in an automotive workshop.

Previous experience working as a vocational teacher is considered an advantage.

You plan the teaching independently and together with colleagues and enjoy passing on your knowledge and profession to the students on the program. As a person, you are outgoing, enjoy contact with students, and have good collaboration skills.

You are confident, stable, and distinguish between the personal and the professional. You are good at creating positive relationships where you relate in a listening and humble way, and you motivate students by creating engagement and participation.

As a person, you maintain a calm and positive attitude in stressful situations and are skilled at creating a good learning environment with peace and security for your students. You have a flexible attitude where you can adapt to new situations and ways of working.

The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing.
