We are now looking for up to five teaching assistants to serve as base group supervisors at the Department of Science and Technology.
About the job
The assignments involve supervising base groups in problem-based learning during the third semester of the Master of Science in Information Technology program (IT program).
About you
To be employed as a teaching assistant, you must be admitted to a higher education program at the first or second cycle level. A teaching assistant position requires that the employee is studying at Linköping University. The work is performed on-site.
We are looking for you who have previous experience with problem-based learning. Previous teaching experience in courses with modules for which we are seeking supervisors is highly meritorious.
Your workplace
The Department of Science and Technology (IDA) was founded in 1983, but our roots go back to the early 1970s. It is one of the largest computer science departments in Northern Europe. Our research covers a broad spectrum of areas, from fundamental computer science to applied fields. The extensive research also influences our undergraduate and doctoral education, leading us to offer courses within several Master of Science and higher education engineering programs, as well as programs in innovative programming, cognitive science, and statistics. You will work in the Human-Centred Systems (HCS) division, where our research and teaching focus on studying and improving the interaction between individuals, computer systems, and information resources. About the employment
The scope of the assignments is agreed upon for each respective course, approximately 80 hours during the autumn semester of 2026.
Start date is by agreement.
Salary and benefits
Salary according to LiU's central agreement on teaching assistant salaries. The employment is hourly paid.
