Teacher Assistant/Substitute/Student Assistant

At Distra, we are now looking for a social pedagogue who is interested in strengthening the school's adult presence and student health team!

It is an advantage if you feel confident in and have experience with:

• Strengthening adult presence during lessons, breaks, and pauses
• Having an active role in the school's equal treatment work
• Documenting your work in ProRenata
• Participating in and conducting investigations into bullying/harassment cases
• Handling conflicts between students
• Organizing and leading adult-supervised break activities and holiday activities
• Substituting for teachers
• Supporting mentors in complex mentorship cases
• Serving as the school's contact person for social services
• Serving as the school's contact person for students who are potentially detained and coordinating work around them.

We prefer that you have completed your education through a physical institution and finished your LiA (practical training) with good grades.

The primary tasks will involve strengthening classroom support and acting as an extra resource for students who need help getting started and understanding assignments.

To succeed with our students, a genuine interest in young people and an understanding that everyone is different are required. It is an advantage if you have worked with young people with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, ADD, and students within the autism spectrum.

At our school, the focus is on well-being and safety, where everyone feels seen and heard. We have small teaching groups of approximately 15–24 students per group. This gives us greater opportunities to help each student reach their goals.

It is an advantage if you have previously worked in a school, preferably in collaboration with the student health team.

In a vocational education, most of our students have applied with a career in mind, and here lies your challenge: to dare to challenge and support the students in theoretical subjects. We welcome all students – those who need pure skills training and those who need stimulation and challenges.
