Do you want to use your experience and commitment to help people move forward in their careers? Do you have a passion for coaching, development, and making a real difference – while also wanting to work in a varied and independent role? Then you might be the person we are looking for!
At Iris, we work every day to strengthen people's self-esteem, hope for the future, and opportunities to take the next step in their careers. We are now opening our operations in Västerås with "Rusta och Matcha" (Prepare and Match) as well as transition assignments, and we are looking for you who are skilled, dedicated, and self-directed as a coach and want to help build our team.
About the roleAs a Career Coach, you support individuals facing changes in the labor market – this may include job coaching for the unemployed, career transitions, new career paths, or retraining needs. Participants may require or not require health-adapted interventions. You work closely with participants through individual meetings, follow-ups, and continuous coaching.
In addition to daily and ongoing administration, your responsibilities include:
- Independently coaching participants towards employment or studies.
- Leading individual coaching sessions focused on career guidance and change support.
- Mapping competencies, formulating goals, and creating individual development plans.
- Supporting participants in job searching, CV and application work, as well as educational choices.
- Matching participants' competencies with employers' needs and building networks.
- Collaborating with employers, authorities, and other relevant actors.
- Working in a goal- and results-oriented manner based on set requirements and goals.
You plan and structure your work independently – in close dialogue with participants and the responsible manager. The assignment also involves travel within the entire county, as coaching may take place in several locations. Therefore, a B-driver's license is meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
Who are we looking for?We believe you are a person who creates security, engagement, and motivation in your interactions and who achieves results. You are good at listening, analyzing, inspiring, and networking – and you are driven by seeing others grow and reach their goals. You are also precise with deadlines and comfortable handling multiple parallel tasks simultaneously, working with participants both individually and in groups.
You need to have:
- At least 7 years of working life experience (full-time).
- At least 3 years of coaching experience within the last 7 years.
- Documented coaching competence and the ability to support people in change.
- Good knowledge of the local labor market and established employer contacts.
- Understanding of social systems such as the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), the Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), etc.
Relevant education could, for example, be within working life, behavioral science, psychology, study and career guidance, social work programs, or education in job coaching (university college, university).
Meritorious if you have experience with
- Work-oriented rehabilitation, at least three years.
- Coaching individuals with physical or mental illness.
- Experience in securing trial work and internship placements.
- Very good digital skills and knowledge of digital job search tools.
- Collaboration with actors within the rehabilitation chain and labor market legislation.
With us, you get:
- A meaningful assignment where you make a difference every day.
- Independence in work combined with collegial support.
- Competence development and the opportunity to develop in your coaching role.
- A warm, inclusive, and flat-hierarchy team where we help each other move forward.
