to apply for the job
Do you want to work at a school where knowledge, education, and ambition are at the center? JENSEN Gymnasium in Uppsala is now looking for two teachers qualified to teach natural science, mathematics, biology, and chemistry, who want to help train our students for real life. One of the positions is a senior teacher role focused on driving the natural science program with the support of our well-established concepts. The roles also include teaching on the economics and social science programs. We are a team of competent and tightly knit teachers and school leaders located at Gamla torget 7 in central Uppsala.
At JENSEN, we go our own way. We believe in discipline, collaboration, and daring to think big. We have a strong health profile, professionalism, and a clear dress code that reflects our ambitions. As a teacher here, you become part of a tightly knit team with extremely high engagement – in fact, a full 91% of our employees recommend JENSEN as a workplace! This is evident not least in the close collaboration between teachers and between teachers and students. Our high quality is repeatedly confirmed in inspections by the Swedish Schools Inspectorate.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed upper secondary school teacher in one or more of the subjects: natural science, mathematics, biology, and chemistry. You thrive in the classroom and are driven by seeing your students reach their full potential. You inspire and adapt your teaching style based on students' needs, prior knowledge, and individual goals. You are a natural and clear leader in the classroom and have good structure. Being a team player is important to you, and you have a creative approach to solving challenges. If you also have many years of experience working with the natural science program with good results, there is an opportunity for a senior teacher position. We would also love for you to share our passion for health and development.
Conditions
The positions are permanent full-time employment. The start date is August 4, 2026.
How to become part of the team
We work efficiently and modernly. Instead of a cover letter, we start with a series of selection questions and two work psychological tests that you receive immediately after submitting your CV. This gives us an objective view of your potential and you quick feedback! Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline, so don't wait with your application.
In upper secondary school, you are required by law (2000:873) to present an extract from the criminal record register. The extract is made via polisen.se with digital BankID. If you do not have BankID, you can order the form by mail; do this as soon as possible as manual handling of the form takes a long time.
Questions?
Feel free to contact our principal, Lisa Helin, at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) if you want to know more about the position. You can also read more here! (#)
