About the Role
On behalf of our client, we are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager for an industrial operation in Motala. You will be employed by the parent company within the group and will focus your time on one of the subsidiaries, for which you will have overall financial responsibility. In your role, you will work closely with the subsidiary's CEO on matters concerning profitability, project economics, and inventory optimization. In addition to routine accounting tasks, you will actively work on mapping, challenging, and developing the finance function in relation to new working methods, reporting, and digitalization.
You have the opportunity to work from home a few days per week, while the rest of the time you will be based at the office in Motala.
Your responsibilities include:
- Full responsibility for the company's accounting, including monthly and annual financial statements, general ledger, and accounts receivable/payable.
- Actively work with forecasting, follow-up, and progressive profit settlement for major projects, ensuring correct economic progress.
- Develop and standardize financial processes and reporting, including forecasting and follow-up models as well as key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Responsible for inventory accounting, inventory valuation, stocktaking, and variance handling, thereby also improving the company's product cost calculations.
- Handle VAT, tax, and payroll.

About You
We are looking for someone who is confident in having overall responsibility for the finances in a manufacturing company, which is why we believe you have at least 10 years of experience in similar roles. You are accustomed to working with issues related to profitability, cash flow, production costs, project variances, and inventory flows – areas that you master well and find stimulating to develop further. You have an analytical and investigative working style combined with a strong drive to turn insights into concrete improvement measures. You are also comfortable challenging decisions and setting requirements within your area of expertise in a pedagogical and constructive manner, with the aim of continuously developing and optimizing the finance function.
We work with the business system Pyramid, so you must have experience with some form of ERP system. The position requires very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English. As travel may be required, a valid driver's license (Category B) is requested.
As a person, you are unpretentious and have a strong commitment to improvement work. You value accuracy and quality, are good at planning, and have the ability to meet deadlines. You also collaborate easily and actively contribute to creating a sense of involvement in the organization.
