Jefferson Wells is now seeking experienced tactical/strategic buyers for consultancy assignments with leading companies in the high-tech and regulated industry in the Linköping region. You will step into organizations where purchasing is a business-critical function and where your ability to balance cost, risk, and delivery security is central to the business's success.

About the role

As a senior tactical/strategic buyer, you have overall responsibility for parts of the purchasing work – from analysis and sourcing to negotiation and long-term supplier development. You work in an environment with high demands on quality, documentation, and control, where purchasing is an integrated part of both development and production.

You drive purchasing initiatives forward and ensure that the supplier base meets the business's requirements over time, from both a business and risk perspective. The role places high demands on structure, business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex contexts.

You may work with:

• Sourcing activities and supplier selection, including requests for quotation, evaluations, and recommendations.
• Negotiations and contract work with a focus on long-term, robust supplier relationships.
• Category management and development with a focus on cost-effectiveness, risk minimization, and supplier development.
• Market and supplier analyses to identify business opportunities and ensure delivery capacity.
• Preparation of decision-making materials linked to purchasing strategies, business goals, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow-up of supplier performance, including quality, delivery security, and deviation management.
• Close collaboration with internal functions such as engineering, quality, and production.
• Driving improvement initiatives within purchasing processes, flows, and working methods.
• Support during changes in the supplier base, for example during transitions, new projects, or increased requirements.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are business-driven, analytical, and confident in your role as a buyer. You have experience working in complex environments where the requirements are high and where supplier strategies play a decisive role.

You are accustomed to driving negotiations, managing supplier relationships, and working systematically with categories and development initiatives. At the same time, you have a good ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build trust within the organization.

We would like you to have:

• A university or university college degree in purchasing, economics, logistics, engineering, supply chain, or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in tactical and/or strategic purchasing.
• Good negotiation skills and experience in contract work in demanding businesses.
• Strong analytical skills and experience working in a data-driven manner.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Familiarity with business systems and Excel, preferably at an advanced level.
