Responsibilities

As an Administration Economist within Kiruna Municipality, you will be part of the municipality's central economic management unit and serve as an economic support to the Social Administration. You will work with budgeting, economic follow-up, and accounting in close collaboration with controllers, administration managers, and operational managers.

The role involves supporting the Social Administration in daily economic work and economic follow-up. You will analyze economic outcomes and results for units and contribute to the preparation of monthly accounts, interim reports, and annual reports.

You can contribute to strengthening economic competence within the administration by participating in internal training sessions and information meetings.

Start date: 2026-09-01 or as agreed. Probationary period may apply.

Qualifications and Merits

You have a university degree with an economic focus or equivalent knowledge, and good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). A focus on economic management is preferred, and you are passionate about seeing the big picture in your work.

You are accustomed to working independently but thrive in a team environment. You look for solutions rather than focusing on problems, and are analytical, outgoing, and flexible. We require good communication skills in both speech and writing, and place great emphasis on personal qualities such as teamwork, communication, and pedagogical ability.

Experience with the economic system Unit4 Business World is meritorious, as is experience from municipal operations or economic management in large organizations.
