The Sami Parliament is an elected Sami parliament and a state authority since 1993. The Sami Parliament's task is to promote and develop a living Sami culture, contribute to societal planning, and ensure that Sami needs are taken into account.

The Sami Parliament is the administrative authority for Sami culture. We shall work for a living Sami culture, initiate activities, and propose measures that promote this culture.

 

Job Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include processing cultural grants, compiling statistics, and conducting economic follow-ups. You will also provide support to our culture politicians in the form of meeting administration, presenting cases, and taking minutes. As part of the role, you may be involved in various investigations within the cultural sector, preparing background materials, responding to consultations, and collaborating with various cultural actors and authorities. Other duties may occur. Travel is included in the work.

 

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education in culture, economics, or another area that the employer finds relevant, or equivalent work experience. Prior experience in case and grant management, administrative work, and economic follow-ups is meritorious. You must be able to express yourself well both orally and in writing. Basic knowledge of economics is desirable. Experience in public administration and politically directed operations, as well as knowledge of Sami culture and cultural life and knowledge of the Sami languages, are also meritorious.

 

Personal Qualities

We are looking for an independent and structured person who is solution-oriented. You plan and organize your work in an efficient manner. It is important that you are flexible, as we work based on varying assignments.

 

Employment Type

Part-time 50%. Fixed-term employment

Start date: By agreement, but no later than 2026-12-31
