ABOUT THE POSITION

Welcome to DEKRA. We are the leading company in Sweden within the field of "non-destructive testing" (NDT), and we are now looking for a SECTION MANAGER for the non-destructive testing department in Luleå! Are you a clear, engaged, and proactive leader? Do you want to drive our business forward and contribute to development? Then you might be the right fit for us!

For those unfamiliar with non-destructive testing (NDT), it involves detecting damage early on that could otherwise lead to costly failures in the long run. Testing can be performed on everything from welds in industrial pipelines to searching for cracks in space components. Our customer base is broad and spans several industries, such as paper/pulp, wind/nuclear power, petrochemicals/refineries, and rail.

As a section manager here, you have the important role of being responsible for the section's personnel, their working environment, and their development. You are responsible for sales and planning/leadership towards both existing and potential customers, which means you will have extensive customer contact, both by phone and in person. You will collaborate closely and share experiences with your internal section manager colleagues. In this role, you will have responsibility for results and budget. You will be part of the regional management team and report directly to the Regional Manager for the Northern Business Area.

The section covers the testing personnel at the offices in Luleå, Skellefteå, and Umeå, and it is preferable that you reside in Luleå. Travel for work purposes is expected.

We also expect you to have the ability to create good collaboration, a lack of internal hierarchy, mutual trust, and shared values.

We require you to have an engineering degree as a foundation, or alternatively, work experience that compensates for this. If you also have experience from technical inspection, welding, or materials science, it is highly meritorious. Alternatively, you may come from the customer side and currently work with ordering services within inspection and non-destructive testing. You have experience in doing business, writing quotations, understanding contract texts, and project management.

Furthermore, we require good knowledge of both Swedish and English, as well as a valid B-class driver's license.
