The assignment is a consultancy role starting immediately or by August, lasting until the turn of the year. The ambition is long-term, and there are good prospects for employment with the company over time.

About the role including responsibilities

As a Laboratory Engineer in R&D, you will become part of a team responsible for ensuring that laboratory operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with research and development projects, contributing to both daily operational work and the development of methods and processes.

A large part of the role involves managing material flows and ensuring that the right resources are in place at the right time, while actively working on improvements to create more efficient and quality-assured processes.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Receiving and registering samples and materials
• Preparing and handling raw materials related to projects
• Inventory management, including structuring and organizing materials in cold storage and freezers
• Practical laboratory work such as pipetting and handling equipment
• Working with automated instruments and supporting technical solutions
• Contributing to order and functionality in the laboratory environment
• Collaborating with various internal functions within the organization
• Documentation, as well as creating and updating routines and instructions
• Working in business and laboratory systems, and contributing to their further development
• Initiating and driving improvement work related to flows, structure, and efficiency

The role involves a combination of hands-on work in the laboratory and a more development-oriented responsibility.

About you

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in laboratory work and thrive in a role where structure, quality, and collaboration are in focus. You are meticulous and responsible, but also curious and eager to improve methods and routines.

You take initiative easily and feel comfortable in an environment where the pace may vary and change is a natural part of the work.

To succeed in the role, we see that you:

• Have post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as biomedicine, biochemistry, molecular biology, or equivalent
• Have experience working in a laboratory environment
• Are confident in practical lab work, including pipetting
• Have worked with or have an understanding of systems such as LIMS
• Have good general computer literacy
• Communicate well in both Swedish and English

It is a plus if you have previously been involved in improvement work or have an interest in process development.
