We are now looking for several Laboratory Engineers for an innovative Life Science company in Uppsala. About the role
As a Laboratory Engineer, you will become part of the Analysis Services department, responsible for the analysis of clinical samples in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
You will primarily work in an NGS laboratory where you are responsible for analyzing customer samples and ensuring that the results meet the highest quality standards. The role combines practical laboratory work with careful documentation, quality work, and close collaboration with both colleagues and internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
In this role, you will among other things:
- Perform analyses of clinical samples according to established methods and quality requirements
- Handle and process samples, from small sample series to larger analysis projects
- Work according to GCP and the company's quality management system
- Document laboratory work and ensure traceability according to current procedures
- Participate in quality controls and contribute to high data quality
- Collaborate with colleagues within the laboratory and cross-functional teams
- Communicate with internal and external customers with a clear service focus
- Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and coordinate service and maintenance together with internal functions and external suppliers
- Contribute to the laboratory maintaining a high standard of order, safety, and quality
We are looking for you who
- Have a university or civil engineering degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, or another relevant area within Life Science
- Have at least two years of experience in laboratory work where deliveries have been made to internal or external customers within set timeframes
- Have practical experience in pipetting small volumes (≤10 μl) as well as multichannel pipetting with high precision
- Have a good understanding of GCP and work according to quality-controlled laboratory processes
- Communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing
- Have the possibility to work shifts when needed
It is meritorious if you have experience with
- Automated liquid handling systems or pipetting robots
- LIMS or other laboratory information systems
- NGS-based laboratory workflows
