Counselor for DBT Unit, Psychiatric Clinic
Region Västerbotten works to ensure that good health and sustainable development strengthen each other. We take responsibility for an equitable welfare system and for ensuring that research and innovation yield results.
Within the Psychiatric Clinic at Norrlands University Hospital, a business development initiative is underway where we are developing and strengthening the organization. The clinic is the largest psychiatric clinic in Northern Sweden with more than 400 employees.
The DBT Unit is a small outpatient unit that provides Dialectical Behavior Therapy in various formats for individuals with self-destructive, self-harming, and severe quality-of-life-disrupting behaviors. The activity serves as a complementary effort to the core tasks of other psychiatric clinics.
The focus of the DBT Unit aims to promote the development of skills to reduce self-destructive and severely quality-of-life-disrupting problematic behaviors, as well as to promote safety and stability in both well-being and daily functioning. The foundation for the unit's focus and treatment offerings is based on national recommendations for handling and treating self-harming behavior, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other CBT-based interventions. To meet the target group's needs based on diagnosis and cognitive profile, the unit offers several treatment formats: Standard DBT, Adapted and Enhanced DBT, and the DBT Skills System.

We value personal qualities highly and are looking for you who enjoy taking initiative, are creative, responsible, work in a structured manner, and thrive in development and change processes.
