Statens institutionsstyrelse (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial issues and for adults with substance abuse problems. SiS also carries out closed youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues across the country. At SiS, your working life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS LVM-hem Renforsen in Vindeln receives men with alcohol, drug, or polydrug abuse. The institution is tasked with providing care for clients with special resource needs.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Do you want to be part of creating a life-changing difference for vulnerable people? SiS LVM-hem Renforsen is looking for two employees for our operations. The job as a treatment pedagogue/assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new and less risky ways of living. The assignment includes providing care and treatment. Examples of other parts include:
- You contribute to ensuring that the routines on the ward function as they should.
- You play a major role in the stability and security of our clients, and provide the foundation for daily life.
- You contribute to maintaining order and security at the institution according to our routines.
- Documentation is an important part of your work.
- You work on building secure relationships and contribute to our clients receiving the security and safety they need to break habitual behaviors.
Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, you contribute to achieving good results and change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied. Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our engagement, and our attitude.
Working hours are according to schedule: day - evening and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS's basic training for 10 weeks. The training alternates between theory and supervised introduction, and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Your personal suitability is the key to life-changing change. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of humanity, great empathetic ability, and the ability to create good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressurized situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues. We also place importance on personal suitability.
You must also have:
At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*
- Category B driver's license
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
*Exceptions to the requirement of at least two years of post-secondary education can be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry or within LSS care
- Experience from client-facing positions within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
- Experience from client-facing positions within other public operations
- Education in care and nursing
- Experience working with substance abuse care and the target group of men

EMPLOYMENT:
The positions are permanent full-time positions (37 hours/week) and begin with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
