A role with broad responsibilities

As a Calculation Engineer, you will be part of a team of other calculation engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers working together to implement improvements and investments in our high-tech production facility in Karlskrona. The work involves a stimulating and varied daily routine where you follow the process from idea to producing equipment.

In this role, you will participate in several different types of projects, involving varying degrees of calculation tasks. You will also work closely with the designers to verify mechanical strength based on current standards and guidelines. The Calculation Engineer plays a vital role, contributing expert knowledge and support to project managers, designers, and production engineers.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Strength calculations of structures
• Finite Element Method (FEM) simulations
• Cable handling simulations
• Planning and optimizing calculation tasks
• Order management

In addition to the above, we require the following experience:

• A Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on some form of calculation is a prerequisite for the role.
• Knowledge and previous experience in mechanical design and calculation work according to Eurocode.
• Fluency in Swedish & English, both spoken and written, is required.

Basic knowledge of machine safety, AFS, and CE marking is advantageous. Previous experience in cable manufacturing and cable handling is also considered a plus. Additionally, skills in WindChill and SolidWorks are desirable.
