We are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer who, in this assignment with our client in Stockholm, will become a key person in a small, tight team supporting business-critical systems within socially vital functions. You will play a central role in a team responsible for operating socially vital systems in a security-classified environment.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of Senior Linux Engineer, you work with the operation, administration, and development of Linux environments in a business-critical and regulated environment. You handle troubleshooting, system optimization, configuration, and automation, while also contributing your networking expertise to everything related to routing, switching, and firewalls. You collaborate closely with the team to ensure a robust and secure infrastructure and work continuously on improvements to the platform, processes, and stability.

Since the client operates within a socially vital business, the environment is security-classified, which implies on-site work five days a week.

Your Profile

You are an experienced Linux Engineer who thrives close to the technology and is attracted to complex, socially vital environments where quality and security are crucial. As a person, you are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented. You work well in teams, communicate clearly, and have a good ability to see the big picture of the infrastructure.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with Linux as an operations or systems engineer
• Good competence in networking (routing, switching, firewalls)
• Experience with scripting/automation (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible)
• Accustomed to working in critical and complex IT environments
• Swedish citizenship and possibility to undergo a security clearance check
• Ability to work on-site at the client's location 5 days per week

Merits

• Experience in security-classified or heavily regulated environments
• Knowledge within virtualization or container technology
• Experience with monitoring tools and log management
• Certifications within Linux or networking
