Do you want to be part of it?
Your daily life as a Crisis Preparedness Coordinator
As a Crisis Preparedness Coordinator, you work operationally in our dispatch center, 24/7, throughout the year, monitoring, collecting, analyzing, and alerting relevant actors such as authorities, municipalities, regions, and private companies to provide an initial situation report. You will actively handle incidents that have occurred or are feared to occur in Sweden or elsewhere of significance to Swedish interests or Swedish citizens. Active collection of information related to national and international events is crucial to take the right measures to prevent, mitigate, or avoid undesirable consequences. This places high demands on social competence, the ability to handle multiple simultaneous events, and independently reprioritize in line with society's protected values. On our department, we have high competence, high availability, and a strong safety culture where collaboration is the means to achieve success. The assignment is unique within Sweden's total defense.
Main responsibilities:
- Information gathering
- Analyze and assess incoming information for dialogue with the correct actor
- Interpret large amounts of information within a set time
- Create basis for internal and external needs
- Be responsible for and participate in meetings with external partners
- Work to contribute to method development and improved working methods on the department
We are looking for you who:
- have education or work experience in crisis preparedness, total defense, or equivalent operations.
- have good judgment, are flexible and proactive while having a broad security awareness.
- can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
- have basic knowledge of English
- have good knowledge of the structure of Swedish society and the basic rules governing the Swedish total defense.
- have a great interest in environmental monitoring, the outside world, and societal issues
- have the ability to handle and structure large amounts of information
We see that you have high personal integrity, very good collaboration skills, are unpretentious, and enjoy shift work. As a Crisis Preparedness Coordinator, you work in two shifts with combined day and night passes, weekdays as well as weekends. Furthermore, experience in gathering and processing information as well as communicative and analytical skills are meritorious, as is experience from other service professions.
We offer you
As an employee at SOS Alarm, we see your well-being as a focus area, and we know that a balance between work and private life is crucial for a sustainable and meaningful working life. Therefore, as an employee, you have the following employment conditions and benefits:
- Health allowance 5000 SEK
- SOS Health - a health initiative where you get the opportunity to participate in joint activities and runs together with your colleagues. The purpose is to strengthen our health and cohesion.
- 25 days of vacation
- Reduced working hours
- Collective agreement and occupational pension according to ITP
- SOS Campus - a learning library for continuous learning and competence development
