Are you an economist with experience in analysis and forecasting within projects? Are you quality-conscious with strong communication and collaboration skills? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
About the role
As an economist within the Naval Materiel staff, you will work broadly with projects of all sizes. You will continuously support project managers and leaders with everything from analysis and forecasting to follow-up and ongoing financial matters. The role also involves ensuring that the organization's financial processes are followed and developed.
In the role of economist, you are a key part of FMV's mission to deliver materiel to the Swedish Armed Forces and to ensure that the agency's budget allocation is accurate. You will become part of a team of more than ten colleagues with similar responsibilities, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are central.
The business portfolio has grown significantly in recent years and is undergoing development/growth, which means that working methods, routines, and processes are constantly being improved and developed. You will be a natural part of this work.
The position is located in Stockholm.
About you
We are looking for you who have a high school diploma with a focus on economics, or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as comparable. You have relevant experience working with analysis, forecasting, budgeting, planning, and follow-up related to projects. You also have experience supporting employees with financial matters in relation to projects. Furthermore, you have very good knowledge of Excel, specifically pivot tables, and experience working in financial and business systems. A basic requirement is also that you have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish.
It is meritorious if you have post-secondary education in the field of economics, and we would appreciate experience working with Unit 4 or SAP. It is also an advantage if you have experience and familiarity with navigating public administration and state financial regulations, as well as relevant experience in working with financial control models and financial management.
To thrive in this role, we see that you are engaged, service-oriented, quality-conscious, and meticulous. We also see that you enjoy collaborating with others through communication and have an egalitarian approach where you pedagogically share knowledge based on the organization's needs. As an economist with us, it is also a prerequisite that you are self-reliant by working proactively, responsibly, and structured, taking initiative and finding solutions.
