The Surgical and Gastroenterological Care area performs surgical and gastroenterological activities in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical activities in Landskrona. Within this area, emergency, basic, and highly specialized care are offered at wards and clinics in Malmö and Lund. Our patients are referred from the entire Southern Sweden Healthcare Region and from other parts of Sweden.

At the Surgical Administration Unit, medical secretaries, administrators, and receptionists work in close collaboration to provide the best possible service and support to the operations. We are responsible for a number of important functions, including referral management, quality assurance, administration of standardized care pathways (SVF), and healthcare documentation for the surgical clinic and surgical wards.

Our work is a central part of the care chain. We ensure that processes run smoothly, that documentation is of high quality, and that patients and employees receive the right support at the right time.

Our unit is located in modern premises at the New Hospital Area in Malmö. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of the operations and contribute to future administrative support within surgical care.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a medical secretary, you will work with patient record documentation, diagnosis registration, referral management, and appointment booking, among other tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who have completed an approved education in healthcare administration (KY 80 credits/400 credits YH). You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with Melior, Pasis, and 1177 e-services is considered an advantage. Previous experience in administrative development work and digital improvement processes is also considered an advantage.
