F 16 is responsible for the Uppsala garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The wing is also responsible for the 24/7/365 surveillance of Swedish airspace and leads the Air Force's combat aircraft in the air. You will become part of a military organization undergoing significant change and development due to the international situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the unit

The Air Force's Combat Control and Air Surveillance Battalion is tasked with surveilling Swedish airspace and directing combat aircraft. The battalion conducts live operations 24/7, year-round from facilities across the country. The Air Surveillance Defense Company is responsible for protecting the battalion's facilities.

The main task of the Air Surveillance Defense Company is to detect, locate, identify, and counter security threats against the Air Force's command and control systems. The company consists of Air Surveillance Defense Platoons, all of which utilize technical sensors, vehicles, and various types of weapon systems to fulfill their mission. The Air Surveillance Defense Company is characterized by flexible and mobile operations over large areas in small units. The platoons have the capability to operate throughout the country in all seasons and at all hours. The company operates under varying physical and psychological conditions, thus placing high demands on employees' physical fitness.

Main duties

The company staff is seeking a Quartermaster who, together with the Logistics Assistant, Technical Manager, and Technical Assistant, forms the logistics function. The logistics function focuses on ensuring that the company's operational activities run without restrictions. Additionally, the logistics function supports exercises and production. Wartime planning will also be part of the role. Much of the work involves problem-solving and collaboration with various stakeholders.

As a Quartermaster, the work involves close collaboration with the logistics function's positions as well as the platoons to maintain, supply, and keep the company's systems and materiel in operational status. Other duties include supporting training, follow-up, and quality assurance.

Examples of duties for the Quartermaster at the company include:

• Monitoring the company's materiel status in the support systems PRIO and LIFT.
• Responsible for the company's work with MFO (Maintenance and Operational Readiness) and AFO (Administrative and Financial Operations).
• Responsible for the company's infrastructure.
• Responsible for the company's procurement.
• Training of the company's personnel.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Category B Driver's License, manual transmission.
• Completed Basic Military Training (GMU) or compulsory military service with a passing grade.
• Experience working with similar tasks.
• Officer or Specialist Officer education.

QUALIFICATIONS

• ADR basic + class 1 and tank.
• Driver's license categories C, CE.
• Military forklift license / truck license.
• Experience/competence in defense data systems such as PRIO and LIFT.

Employment type: Permanent employment. The Swedish Armed Forces may apply a six-month probation period.

Employment level: Full time

Work location: Uppsala. F 16 also has operations in other locations, which may involve occasional business travel.

Working hours: Primarily daytime. Evening and weekend duty may occur during exercise activities.

Start date: By agreement.

Salary: We apply individual salary setting.

Position: Military OR6-7/OF-1.
