About the Unit
The Technical and Maintenance Division is the Air Force's technical office, responsible for maintaining continued airworthiness, maintenance and production, modification activities, and common technical issues for all air material systems in the Swedish Armed Forces.
The staff located in Uppsala handles incoming cases to the TVA and supports the TVA leadership.
Main Responsibilities
As a Staff Assistant, you are part of the section's administrative tasks. You organize and coordinate, support preparations, and relieve our staff with administrative duties.
Several other tasks are added, and the work places very high demands on initiative, problem-solving skills, and the willingness to independently identify and understand what needs to be done to develop the function's working methods in daily support to both the staff and other sub-units with various planned and emerging administrative tasks. Examples of tasks include:
- Case management and case follow-up in several different leadership support systems
- Dispatch service, including Vidar support and drafting of documents
- Support to the staff regarding planning, coordination, and implementation of operations
- Support with orders, logistics, and coordination during meetings and travel
- Purchasing and ordering of goods and products.
Required Qualifications
- Completed Swedish conscription, GMU, or equivalent military basic training with a passing grade
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- Good computer skills with special focus on the Office package, but also the ability to learn new systems
- Valid driver's license (Category B).

We seek someone who can work both in a team and independently. You have a good ability to express yourself orally and in writing. It is important that you are a good representative of the Swedish Armed Forces and stand by their values. Personal suitability will be given great weight.
Merits
- Completed Armed Forces Staff Assistant training
- Experience working in an administrative role/position
- Experience with similar tasks within the Swedish Armed Forces or another authority
- Experience working in systems VIDAR, PRIO, SWECCIS, ISUS, and/or TAKTIL.

Employment type: Military position
Fixed-term employment according to GSS/K agreement, maximum eight years. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probation period for those not already employed by the authority.

Individual salary setting applies
Travel in the service occurs with shorter or longer duty at other locations, mainly nationally
The position entails physical fitness requirements, completion of official travel, international service obligation, participation in training and exercises, and placement in the wartime organization.
