Do you want to help develop the student health team at Djäkneparksskolan?
Who are we?
Djäkneparksskolan is a six-grade school (grades 7-9) located in the heart of Norrköping. We currently have 520 students and 55 staff members, and the school boasts a pleasant, safe, and accommodating atmosphere where both students and staff thrive together.
The school is organized into three grade-level teams that work closely together regarding the students' daily work within their respective grades.
We are a profile school with specializations in dance, crafts, visual arts, programming, ball sports, and cooking. We employ a language- and knowledge-developing approach and have a safety work where the student is at the center. The school is characterized by a positive and engaged staff group. Our student health team consists of professional staff with high competence, which is vital for the school's goal fulfillment. The teachers at the school are highly certified in their subjects.
Your responsibilities
This autumn, we are looking for a special needs educator (specialpedagog) or a special education teacher (speciallärare), preferably with a focus on mathematics. You will be part of the school's student health team and work closely with the school's other special education teachers. In your role, you will support teaching teachers in pedagogical matters and work preventively by analyzing students' difficulties at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
You will map obstacles and opportunities in the school environment and students' need for special support. You will conduct pedagogical assessments and create action plans for students who need extra support. An important part of the job is also to offer students support at both the group and individual levels.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a degree as a special needs educator or special education teacher, or equivalent education. You have experience in teaching and working with students in higher grades, as well as experience working as a special education teacher. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the laws and regulations of the Swedish school system and good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
As a person, we see that you are flexible and easily adapt your planning and working methods based on the students' needs. You have good organizational skills and can prioritize your tasks independently based on need and importance. You are a positive and engaged person who is clear, responsive, and has an easy time building positive relationships with others.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your ability to collaborate with others and in teams. We see that you have great commitment, drive, and belief that every student can and wants to succeed! You have the ability to see possibilities in the pedagogical work and have good collaboration skills.
We look forward to receiving your application!
