Assignment Description

We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer.

What You Will Work On

• Develop backend services supporting global retail planning platforms.
• Design and implement integrations between business systems and databases.
• Build and maintain backend-for-frontend (BFF) services.
• Develop REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Design and document APIs using OpenAPI and Swagger.
• Integrate Headless CMS solutions into platform architecture.
• Develop containerized cloud-native applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Develop secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Implement Single Sign-On and RBAC solutions.
• Manage data flows between distributed systems and applications.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility, information security, and privacy requirements.
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
• Support AI-assisted and specification-driven development practices.
• Contribute to clean architecture and scalable integration patterns.
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and developers.
• Support operational excellence and observability initiatives.

What You Bring

• Senior-level experience in backend software development.
• Strong experience with Node.js, Java, and/or C#.
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of OpenAPI and Swagger standards.
• Experience with GraphQL implementations.
• Experience working with Headless CMS platforms such as Contentful.
• Strong database knowledge and SQL experience.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container technologies.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services and cloud architecture.
• Experience with Azure Container Apps, Azure Blob Storage, and Managed Identity.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions.
• Knowledge of JWT, JWKS, Single Sign-On, and RBAC frameworks.
• Experience with Cloudflare Access or similar identity platforms.
• Experience using Git and Git Bash in collaborative development environments.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Understanding of information security and data privacy principles.
• Knowledge of accessibility requirements and standards.
• Experience working with integration-focused architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and optimize information flow across systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to adapt to established architectures and development standards.
