The Orthopedics Business Area currently consists of three wards, one located in Lund and two in Malmö. The orthopedic ward in Lund is an emergency care unit with 21 beds. The ward's profile focuses on acute patients with common orthopedic diagnoses and patients with prosthetic-related infections, where we offer advanced medical and surgical treatment. At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's Competency and Service Model.

Lund is home to one of Sweden's sarcoma centers, where our ward contributes high-specialized care and treatment for sarcoma patients from southern Sweden. Our broad expertise means you will work with the multi-morbid adult patient of varying ages.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for three assistant nurses for permanent positions. One of the assistant nurse positions will also include a small part of managerial support duties.

Work on an orthopedic ward is varied and rewarding, with no two days being alike. As an assistant nurse, you will work with varied tasks including both pre- and post-operative care as well as rehabilitation, giving you the opportunity to develop and take on new challenges. In a cross-professional team, you will work together with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists with a shared responsibility for the patients in your team. The team also works closely with social workers and pharmacists to ensure a holistic perspective.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse and meet the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current curriculum structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.

It is an advantage if you have work experience in hospital care. Experience from orthopedic operations is desirable. Since you, as an assistant nurse, work in Melior and other administrative systems, we would appreciate it if you had good computer skills.
