Fjällboskolan is located in a quiet and idyllic villa area close to nature at Fjällbobergen in Utby. Here you have all the opportunities to plan outdoor teaching, and you can also take a nice walk in nature during your break.

Approximately 400 students in grades F-5 attend Fjällboskolan, and about 50 employees work here.

We have an open climate at the school, and together with our ambitious students and engaged parents, we collaborate with a clear focus to create safety and well-being for the students.

Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who want to work as a teacher in wood and metal crafts for grades 3–5.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementation, and evaluation of the activities.

You design teaching that challenges, stimulates, and inspires students' desire to learn and creates conditions for the possibility of influence.

You will belong to a work team consisting of the teachers who handle the practical/aesthetic subjects, including our textile crafts teacher.

The role of the work team is to shape learning based on each student's needs and prerequisites so that the student has the opportunity to reach as far as possible.

You have access to a nice and well-equipped wood workshop that will be completely newly renovated by the start of the school year 2026/27.

The position is 80–100%, depending on what we agree upon.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a teacher with the eligibility to teach wood and metal crafts for grades 3–5. Work experience from school is meritorious.

You adapt easily to your work approach based on changed prerequisites and new information. You can quickly change your perspective and attitude and see opportunities in changes. You have the ability to convey information and ideas, both orally and in writing. You express the core of an argument in a clear and effective way. You adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation.

You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and you create conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different recipients and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.

You set clear goals and plan activities and projects in good time. You use time efficiently and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You ensure that the work is completed and follow up on the results.

To ensure that you, as a recent graduate, get the best possible start in the profession, you will participate in the School Administration's Teacher Academy's introduction for recent graduates. The introduction gives you, as a recent graduate, a network with other recent graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
