As a school counselor at our organization, you will have the opportunity to work at two smaller primary schools (grades F–6) where relationships, safety, and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life. At Skederid School and Rånäs School, you will meet dedicated colleagues and student health teams who work together to create good conditions for students' learning and well-being.

The Role

As a school counselor, you will work at Skederid School (40%) and Rånäs School (20%) and be part of the schools' student health teams.

The role includes, among other things:

• Conducting individual conversations with students
• Providing support to guardians and staff
• Participating in the work of the student health teams
• Contributing psychosocial competence to student health work
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
• Participating in the schools' work on safety, well-being, and equal treatment
• Documenting in the journal system Prorenata

You will work closely with students, guardians, staff, and school leadership to contribute to a safe and developmental school environment.

Challenges and Opportunities

As a school counselor, you will become an important part of the student health team and have the opportunity to contribute to both promoting, preventive, and remedial work.

The role offers great variation through work at the organizational, group, and individual levels. You will collaborate closely with students, guardians, staff, and external actors and have the opportunity to help develop the schools' student health work.

What you need to bring

Requirements

• Social work degree or other education that the employer considers equivalent
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing
• Ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues
• Experience with documentation

Merits

• Previous work as a school counselor
• Knowledge of student health work
• Experience working with children and young people
• Knowledge of social work and/or work within social services
• Experience with documentation in journal systems, such as Prorenata

Welcome to Skederid School and Rånäs School!

We are two smaller F–6 schools in Norrtälje Municipality where safety, community, and good relationships are in focus. With us, students have the opportunity to develop in an environment where they are seen and where collaboration between students, staff, and guardians is a natural part of everyday life.

Skederid School has approximately 160 students and Rånäs School approximately 65 students. At both schools, we work to create an inclusive and developmental learning environment where students are given the conditions to succeed in their schooling.

As a school counselor, you will become an important part of our student health teams and have the opportunity to work closely with students, guardians, and staff in operations where relationships, safety, and the student's best interest are at the center.
