Enrolled Nurse for Orthopedics in Lund – Make a Difference Every Day

The Orthopedics Business Area currently consists of three wards, one located in Lund and two in Malmö. The orthopedic ward in Lund is an acute care unit with 21 beds. The ward's profile focuses on acute patients with common orthopedic diagnoses and patients with prosthesis-related infections, where we offer advanced medical and surgical treatment.

At our workplace, we work according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model. In Lund, there is one of Sweden's sarcoma centers, where our ward contributes with highly specialized care and treatment for sarcoma patients from southern Sweden. Our broad competence means you will work with the multi-morbid and adult patient in varying ages.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for three enrolled nurses for permanent positions. One of the enrolled nurse positions will also include a small part of managerial support duties.

Working on an orthopedic ward is varied and rewarding, where no two days are alike. As an enrolled nurse, you will work with varied tasks including both pre- and post-operative care as well as rehabilitation, giving you the opportunity to develop and take on new challenges. In a cross-professional team, you will work together with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists with a shared responsibility for the patients. The team also works closely with social workers and pharmacists to ensure a holistic perspective.

The activity offers you varied, stimulating, and educational work where you are given the opportunity for personal development and education. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as an enrolled nurse and meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's requirements for a protected professional title, regardless of whether you studied under the previous or current program structure. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.

It is meritorious if you have work experience in hospital care. Experience from orthopedic activity is desirable. Since you, as an enrolled nurse, work in Melior and other administrative systems, we would like you to have good computer skills.

Employment and Documentation

Employment Type: Permanent position.

If you have not yet received your proof of protected professional title, grades (not just a diploma) from your enrolled nurse education must be attached. If you were employed as an enrolled nurse on a permanent basis on July 1, 2023, and lack proof, attach your certificate of employment as well as your grades (not just a diploma) from your enrolled nurse education.

If you do not have the proof, you may be employed as a nursing assistant on a fixed-term basis while waiting for the proof.
